Our Prestigious Clients, Freebridge Community Housing, are seeking an Apprentice Placeshaper to report to the Assistant Placeshaping Manager at their Offices at Providence Place in King's Lynn.

Your role as Placeshaper Apprentice is to assist the organisation in achieving its aims and objectives regarding the concerns of meeting with the recreational and social needs of the residents and community groups in the local area.

Your main duties for this Placeshaper Apprentice role will include:

  • Assisting with the on site administration and supervision in the effective service to all customers, suppliers, and colleagues inquiries regarding facilities at Placeshaping Centres.

  • Helping develop these services promptly and appropriately via all access channels, including telephone, face to face, letter, email, text and web, including providing a pro-active “right first time” customer approach and customer focused solutions service.

  • Promoting and marketing the services to local residents and communities to optimize use of the facilities and to ensure that the services provided remain available for the good of the community generally.

  • Assisting community groups using the facility to promote and market any events they have arranged and to ensure all necessary equipment and service is provided as required.

  • To work in partnership with the local community to support neighbourhood networks , to facilitate and empower local participation and access to services encouraging local learning, creativity, vibrancy and diversity.

Your tasks will require you to:

  • To be an ambassador for Freebridge Community Housing, working remotely with minimal supervision to promote a strong customer care culture, leading by example at all times.

  • Have the ability to work with discretion, being able to handle sensitive information discreetly and in accordance with the Data Protection legislation.

  • Take responsibility for your own and colleagues health & safety at work and that of other persons who may be affected by your actions in line with Freebridge guidelines.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining an effective ICT service at Providence Street for the benefit of all users.

  • Provide support to other community projects as they develop.

  • Undertake any other tasks as directed by your manager.

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard of education in English and Maths.

  • Excellent PC skills including experience with all Microsoft packages, e.g. MS, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.


  • Full clean Driving Licence


  • Ability to deliver information and resolve customer requests in a customer friendly and confident manner (written and verbal).

  • Demonstrate ability to organise and prioritise, duties individually whilst working remotely from the main office,

The successful candidate will be required to work on a flexible basis based on the needs of the Placeshaping Centre, which may include:

  • Early and late shifts, and may be based over two sites.

  • Occasional attendance at meetings, conferences and training courses out of normal working hours and/or requiring overnight stays.

Hours of Work:
37 hours per week


The salary for this position is £12,000 per annum

There is also a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship attached to this position, which should be completed in around 14 months.

Future Prospects:

This is a full-time position on an 18 month contact which may become permanent on successful completion of your apprenticeship
